About

Chamberlain is my hometown – I have always had the pleasure of living here. I chose to stay in Chamberlain because I like the area, the people and the opportunities available here. It’s a great place to raise a family; we have a good school system and lots of activities for families.

What’s the best thing about serving on the City Council?

My job is to represent all the people of Chamberlain and to be a good steward of their money. I help make decisions regarding how the city is run and how we can grow and develop. My favorite part of the job is working with and for all the people I represent in the City of Chamberlain. It’s important for me to be a voice for all the people of our community.

What’s one thing you want others to know about you?

I have been married to my wife Peggy almost 40 years and we have two children, Shandra and TJ. I am also the proud Papa of three beautiful and smart granddaughters (I’m a little biased there). About

I was raised here, as was my wife. After grad school, we made the choice to move back home and raise a family in Chamberlain near both of our families. We love the area and all it has to offer with so much outdoor recreation and, of course, the Missouri River.

What’s the best thing about serving on the City Council?

As a city council member, I hope to be able to give back to the community that helped raise me from childhood. Our community has so much to offer, in addition to so much potential due to our central location on the Missouri River and Interstate 90. I like to be able to be a driving force in the growth of our town and the amenities we have to offer tourists and travelers who are either passing through or staying the night.

What’s one thing you want others to know about you?

I currently serve on the South Dakota Banker’s Association Legislative Committee and the Agricultural Committee as well as various local organizations. My wife and I, along with our kids, enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, golfing, and hunting. With our interests, Chamberlain is a perfect fit!

Chamberlain is a great place to raise a family and build a business. I want to see that continue for future generations and serving on the City Council is a way I can help do that.
